Daniel's Song
This song was written for a Junior High camp in the summer of 2000. The theme for the week was Daniel and his companion's as seen in the book of Daniel. Daniel was a young Jewish boy who was captive in a foreign land and being raised by a godless king. As he and his companions pursued the Lord, they found the comfort and strength to become His testimony in a dark age.
Jesus, you are life within me
Everyday the same
Every time I call your Name
I touch my spirit
You make my spirit joyful
You fill me up with song
Whenever I behold Your face
I know that I belong
CHORUS:
Jesus, Lord, we gather here.
The loving family You hold dear.
No place on earth compares with home;
We are Your sojourners who follow where You roam.
Now we ask we'd be like You
To live and walk a life that's true
And that our riches we can share
with those in need we see
Around us everywhere.
REFRAIN:
Let us always love each other
Keep us in the light.
Let us sense Your loving presence
Whether day or night.
Let us flee from sinful actions
Catch us when we fall.
Teach us by Your sweet anointing
(that) You are all in all
