I am a song writer, singer, guitarist, artist etc. and sometimes lead small group worship all for His glory. My husband is a pastor who works full time and holds a church service every Sunday morning at a local prison here in the NW at a local prison.

We are missionaries "here in our own back yard in North Portland." It is not easy. We have lived here for over 30 years but God has always protected us (inner city with high crime, drugs, etc.).

Our whole family has gone on several short term mission trips to many countries. I myself have mainly gone to Mexico, my hubby has gone to the Czech Republic (right after the wall came down), China, the Philippines, and to Mexico City .

My son Aaron has also gone on mission trips to Mexico twice and to Bali. We are still contending for his healing because he was born crippled in his feet. (They do not even have a name for the deformities. They have never seen a case like it.)

He has had several surgeries to literally construct his feet and re-make them. We have seen some healing and the bones move and change and even dissolve on X rays. The doctors cannot help him. The doctors told us whatever you are doing keep doing it ... we are unable to help.

He is now 30, looking for a job, and works part time at the local (TBN ) Christian station here in Portland. He just graduated with his Batchelor's degree in English. He has a shepherd's heart and wants to teach.

I attend a Christian Fellowship in a suburb of Portland. We focus on missions, praying for the sick, feeding the poor and sharing the Father's love for all of us.

My claim to fame is "JESUS" and I give Him all the glory and all the praise!

Was in and out of the hospital much of my childhood life with surgeries, casts, etc.

Then one day in 1990 I felt the Lord told me that I was to fast and pray.

At the end of that fast I met with a friend who I was taking a class on healing from a man who is now my pastor.

At the end of the fast (3 days) I met with him and a small prayer team.

They were praying for me and said "Shairi, I think there is an arch forming in your right foot."

At the end of the evening 2 hours later I had arches in BOTH FEET! I had walked in with double arch supports in my shoes and walked out with NONE!

MY toes were located funnily on top of my feet and moved to the end of my feet where they should be. My shoe size changed and my toes, formerly crooked, were straightened.

Just like the man at Gate Beautiful in the Bible who was 40 years old, I was healed and am now telling the whole world.

"Mourning To Dancing" is one of my emails because He truly has turned my mourning into dancing and has healed me so I can now dance!

When I went back to the doctors they said, "Congratulations, go get more prayer." I have shared many times on mission trips and a few times on TV (cable access and also on BBC in Canada).

Jesus told me, Tell everyone." So I take every opportunity I can to share it.
